My work extends beyond the exam room into sexual health education, writing, speaking, and conversations about how we connect with ourselves and each other. I created STARS Talk, a framework for talking about consent, intimacy, relationships, and sexual health, and have shared this work through TEDx, NPR’s Life Kit, workshops, retreats, and national presentations. I bring together medicine, sexuality, relationships, and embodied self-awareness to help people experience more connection, pleasure, and agency.

SOCIAL MEDIA

STARS Talk is a simple framework I created to help people have clearer, more honest conversations about sex, intimacy, and relationships. STARS stands for Safety, Turn-Ons, Avoids, Relationship Intentions and Expectations, and Sexual Health.

Instead of assuming we know what another person wants, STARS gives us a way to talk about boundaries, desires, needs, health, and connection before we become intimate. It is rooted in consent, curiosity, and self-awareness, and can be used with new partners, long-term partners, or as a way to better understand yourself.
